Privacy Policy
In short: your documents are processed right in your browser and never reach our server. We do not require sign-up, do not use cookies to track you, and do not sell data.
1. Who we are
Jasyr (the jasyr.app website) belongs to its owner (“we”). For any question about data, write to hello@jasyr.app.
This policy explains what data we receive when you use the site and how we handle it.
2. What we do not receive
The contents of your documents are processed locally, in your device’s browser. We do not receive or store:
- the documents themselves or any of their text;
- file names;
- the personal data found or the result of anonymization;
- the replacement key (the “original → replacement” table);
- the “My words” list that you create.
You can check this yourself: open the tool, turn off the internet and anonymize a document. More on the “Security and limits” page.
3. What we do receive
- Anonymous usage statistics. The site sends only the event type (visit, file opened, download, copy, key download), the file format (for example docx or pdf), the interface language and the date. Text, file names and data from documents never enter the statistics.
- Counting unique visitors. This uses a hash of the IP address and browser data with a salt that changes every day and is not stored anywhere. The IP address cannot be recovered from such a hash, and visits on different days cannot be linked. The IP address itself is not saved in the statistics. Statistics are kept for up to 400 days.
- The “Global Privacy Control” signal. If it is enabled in your browser, no statistics are sent at all.
- Hosting technical logs. Like any web server, the hosting provider receives the IP address, the time and address of the request and browser data, and keeps them for a limited time to run and protect the site.
- Emails. If you write to us, we receive your email address and the message and use them only to reply.
4. Cookies and browser storage
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The site stores only settings in your browser’s localStorage: the interface language, the replacement language and the “My words” list. This data stays on your device and is not sent anywhere. You can remove it in your browser settings (clear site data).
If you enter names or other personal data into “My words”, keep in mind that they are stored on your device in plain form. On a shared computer, clear the site data when you finish.
5. Third-party services
- Hosting and infrastructure. The site is hosted by a hosting provider and the anonymous statistics are kept in a cloud store. The servers of these services may be located outside Kazakhstan.
- Fonts and file-processing libraries (PDF, QR code reading) are loaded from our own site; the libraries run in your browser. The pages make no requests to third-party services.
- AI services. Jasyr itself sends nothing to any AI. If you copy the anonymized text into an AI chat, that is your own action and is subject to that service’s rules.
6. Purposes
We use the data we receive to keep the site working and secure, to understand which formats and languages are used, and to answer your messages. We do no advertising or profiling.
7. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell data or share it for advertising. Data may be processed by providers the site cannot work without (hosting, statistics storage) and disclosed to public authorities where the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan requires it.
8. Your rights
You may ask what data of yours we hold, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw consent to processing. To do so, write to hello@jasyr.app. Note that anonymous statistics cannot be matched to a particular person, so we cannot find and delete your own record. Emails and correspondence are deleted on request.
9. Security
The main protection is that documents never leave your device. Pages are served over HTTPS and the statistics panel is password-protected. Still, no service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The service is not intended for children and does not knowingly collect information about them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last update below. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new version.
12. Governing law
This policy is governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the Law “On Personal Data and Their Protection”.
