Terms of Use
Jasyr helps remove personal data from documents but does not replace your own review. Please read the terms: by using the site you agree to them.
1. General
These terms govern the use of the Jasyr service on jasyr.app (the “service”). The owner of the service is “we”.
By starting to use the service you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What the service does
Using fixed rules (no artificial intelligence), the service looks for personal and other data in a document (names, ID numbers, phone numbers, addresses, bank details and so on) and replaces them with pseudonyms, tags or blackout. Processing runs in your browser; documents are not sent to our server. See the Privacy Policy for details.
3. You must check the result
Automatic search is never perfect. The service may miss data (including data written unusually, with errors, or inside images) and may hide something that is not personal.
Detection is not guaranteed in scans and photos without a text layer, handwriting, signatures, stamps, logos and barcodes, or in parts of documents the service does not process. The limits are described on the “Security and limits” page.
You must check the result yourself before sending, publishing or passing it to anyone, including AI services.
4. Your responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that:
- you are entitled to process the document and the data in it (you have a legal basis, consent, or your employer’s or client’s permission);
- you comply with the law and with your contractual and professional obligations, including confidentiality;
- you do not use the service for unlawful purposes or to circumvent anyone’s information protection;
- you keep the replacement key separate from the anonymized document and understand that without the key the data cannot be restored.
Replacing data with pseudonyms is pseudonymization, not guaranteed anonymization: combined with other information, a person can sometimes still be identified. Assess the risk for your own situation.
5. Not advice
The service and the site’s materials are not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Personal-data requirements depend on your case; if in doubt, consult a professional.
6. Intellectual property
The site, its design, texts and source code belong to the owner of the service or are used lawfully; third-party open-source libraries are used under their licenses. Rights in your documents remain yours: we do not acquire them.
Without our written consent, you may not pass copies off as Jasyr or use its name and design in a way that misleads users.
7. Availability and changes
The service is provided “as is” and is currently free. We may at any time change the service, limit or stop parts of it, and introduce paid features or plans; free features already available to you at the time of the change stay available until we announce otherwise on the site. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or the absence of errors.
8. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, we give no warranties (including completeness of data detection, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation) and are not liable for losses, data leaks, fines, sanctions or other damage arising from missed or excessive replacements, wrong settings, use of the result, actions of third parties (including AI services) or the inability to use the service.
While the service is free, our total liability to you is limited to zero; if paid plans appear, it is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. A new version takes effect when published on this page; the date of the last update is shown below. By continuing to use the service you accept the new version.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan. We try to resolve disputes by negotiation; if that fails, they are heard by a court in the manner set by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
11. Contact
